The Path of Respect was inaugurated on 1 October 2023: a 13-stage hiking route that unites as many bell towers of Tremosine sul Garda.
This project was evoked by the renovation of 13 bell towers located in the picturesque villages that animate the Tremosine area, and which were affectionately called Messaggeri dei Monti (Messengers of the Mountains) by the team of designers who created the work.
A journey in which we talk about various ideals of respect, which are developed and told in each stage. In fact, near each of the 13 bell towers of the various churches there is a notice board, a book of thoughts and a bench, where every traveler can share his thoughts and meditate on the writings of the pilgrims who preceded him.
Every year the 13 books will be collected in a single book made available online. Nothing will be lost and all thoughts will remain in the memory.
Let’s find out together how to start this Path and all the technical data needed to best prepare:
Characteristics of the Path of Respect and Travel Diary.
The route winds for over 25 km across the entire Tremosine area. It is made up of 13 stages, at 13 bell towers, in as many small villages.
In each stage the walker will discover one of the themes related to Respect through an explanatory noticeboard containing food for thought. Under the notice board there is a drawer with a binder called a Book of Thoughts where you can leave a writing or a drawing.
Here you can also find a beautiful stamp that can be placed in personal notes, but even better in the travel diary created specifically for this experience.
The travel diary, which can be purchased at the Pro Loco Tremosine iNFOpoints, is a small themed notepad equipped with a pen, on which the walker can collect the stamps and thoughts that the stage visited evoked in him. To complete the diary, and therefore the journey, you will need 13 stamps.
The path can be followed in complete autonomy and can be followed in its entirety or for the desired stretch.
On the official website of the walk, various routes are proposed, with relative maps that can be easily downloaded, to start the excursion you prefer.

For those with mobility problems we inform you that all 13 stages can also be reached by car.

Project Financing and Crowdfunding.
The project was presented by the Tremosine Community Association Coordination and then followed by the Tremosine Volunteers Association and the Tremosine Pro Loco. It was entirely financed by donations: in the first phase the “CREO” crowdfunding promoted by BCC Garda, in collaboration with Garda Vita, was activated.
Subsequently, three extra bonuses were awarded by BCC Garda, as the project responded
to specific parameters linked to the values of “Community” and “Proximity”, and as “Member Contribution”.
This was accompanied by donations from private individuals and companies which made it possible to reach the target necessary to complete the project.
