Calling all you foodies and lovers of a good walk in nature, get this date in your diaries: 2nd June 2025. After a break that felt like forever (the last one was way back in 2019!), an unmissable event is making a comeback to unveil the genuine spirit of Tremosine sul Garda: The Gourmet’s Gallop, a food and wine walk that will take you through stunning scenery, treating your palate at each stage.

Picture this: you’re walking along shady paths, through fragrant woods, across blooming meadows and aromatic pine forests, with a gentle breeze on your face and the breathtaking panorama of Lake Garda as your backdrop. This isn’t just a casual ramble; it’s a proper journey to discover the characteristic hamlets and locations of Tremosine, each ready to reveal a piece of its identity through the flavours of its traditional cuisine.

Get ready for a multi-stop route where simplicity meets refinement, creating a delightful blend of Alpine and Mediterranean tastes that will win you over. In each village you visit, a carefully prepared dish awaits you, made using typical local products, a genuine expression of the richness of this area. And to enhance every flavour, each stand will offer a different wine pairing.

Here’s a sneak peek at the delicious itinerary:

  • Departure from Vesio (Piazza Vittorio Veneto): You’ll kick things off with an alcoholic and non-alcoholic aperitif accompanied by tasty fancy crostini, to get those taste buds going.
  • Polzone (Alpe del Garda): The first tasty stop will be dedicated to an antipasto packed with cured meats, flavourful cheeses, and a zingy pickled vegetable medley (giardiniera).
  • Sermerio Hamlet: Here you can sample traditional filled tortei pasta with delicious Formagella di Tremosine cheese, a real local dairy symbol.
  • Nevese: A tribute to the lake with fried lake fish, crispy and flavourful, a classic of Garda cuisine.
  • Pra da l’Era: A refreshing break with a fragrant lemon sorbet, to prepare your palate for the next delights.
  • Secastello Hamlet: A taste of the land with lucanica sausage accompanied by traditional sauerkraut, a combination of robust flavours.
  • Sompriezzo Hamlet: Formagella di Tremosine cheese makes a comeback, this time grilled, to appreciate another shade of its flavour.
  • Voiandes Hamlet: The sweet finale will be a fragrant pandolce (sweet bread), a lovely way to round off the route.
  • Arrival in Vesio (Piazza Vittorio Veneto): The last stop will be dedicated to coffee and, for those who fancy it, a “correction” with a shot of local grappa.

Useful Information for Participants:

  • The event will go ahead even if it rains, so come prepared with suitable clothing!
  • Participation with pushchairs is strongly discouraged due to the nature of the route.
  • Dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle, and owners are directly responsible for them.
  • The start will be staggered from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm from Vesio, località La Pertica.
  • The maximum number of participants is set at 600 people, so hurry up and register!
